HRAWI conducts fssai’s FOSTAC programme

Mumbai, Jan 25: The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) in collaboration with Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) conducted an Online Food Safety Supervisory Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) programme on 18th January 2022. A total of 42 participants attended the programme which focused on imparting standard health and food handling practices for personnel employed in hotels and restaurants. The session also covered information on licencing requirements of the FSSAI hospitality establishments in the country.

“Over the last few years, HRAWI has made great inroads in effecting change through education and training with the help of FSSAI. Prioritizing education in food safety and handling SOPs amongst hospitality professionals is the need of the hour. This will ensure that the Indian Hospitality landscape continues to evolve and remain competitive on the global map. HRAWI’s members have been proactive and participative in these training sessions and are glad to know that hoteliers and restaurateurs have realized the value in the programme,”

The HRAWI has successfully trained and certified 1962 hospitality professionals across India’s Western region in FoSTaC and FSSAI’s Management Training Program.
