Julius offers a modern take on the royal feasts of 49 BC – 44 BC and their much-feted and diverse culinary heritage, bringing alive the traditional cooking methods, ingredients, and aromatic spices from his ruling regions. Head Chef Shashwat Shivam of Julius, at Palladium at Lower Parel has curated a special 5-course menu, which is paired with an extensive collection of wines and a Jazz Night, on the 1st of December at 8 pm, priced at 1799/++ for an experience.
Taking inspiration from the region’s seasonally driven approach to cooking, our delicacies feature the finest ingredients fit for a king. The Chef has helmed a menu with 5 courses in vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The 1st course is called the “Praetor” which offers Tuna and Greek and Beetroot Tartare paired with Bester Procsecco. Course 2 is called the “Ideology” which offers a Vegetable Galette or Fish Cake to be paired with a divine wine i.e. MadFish Sauvignon Blanc. “Triumvirate” being the 3rd course offers Canelloni a Harissa Grilled Snapper or a Chicken Stroganoff as one of our mains paired with MadFish Cabernet Sauigrt. The 4th course is “Heir” offering Haircot Verts. The last course is a favourite of all called the “Prestige” which brings a sweeter note to our pallete with dessert namely Acacia glazed Pistachio Bakhlava or 70% Guanja Flourless Chocolate Cake or Rhubarb Crumble paired with a dessert wine called Mancura Etnia Moscato White.
Julius’s offerings are intended to delight, restore, and evoke a sense of the modern European élan, with this eccentric experience of a 5-course meal experience paired with wine and a Jazz Night to add glam to the experience.
