A glimmering start to the year-end festivities

In the spirit of always doing something unique, for this year's tree lighting ceremony, The Westin Goa did away with a stereotypical practice and replaced the traditional tree set up with a set of glamourous disco baubles that were lit up with a choreographed countdown led by the General Manager of the property, Sunil Kumar. The show with beaming spotlights and sparkling pyros was the highlight of the evening attended by guests, family and friends of the Hotel.

The flamboyant ceremony, hosted in continuation to their efforts last year was curated to raise funds for Sabrcare Trust along with collaborated efforts with Sinead, in order improve the lives of children with cancer. The organization offers free assistance to cancer patients in the form of informational and emotional support as well as medico-practical advice. They also assist public health centers in bringing the right care in a systematic manner to patients, families and communities. The funds raised last year went towards acquiring a prosthetic leg for a young child and this year the funds will be going towards the treatment of a recently diagnosed patient. The fundraising was done against a set of vouchers donated by the hotel and other business owners in Goa in the form of a fun-filled lucky draw.
