The ‘Shaadi by Marriott Bonvoy’ story began in New Delhi in 2017 to showcase the unparalleled hospitality expertise, timeless venues, and exquisite culinary fare that Marriott Hotels in India offer to its discerning patrons. Whether it's the grandest ceremony of the season or the most private affair, ‘Shaadi by Marriott Bonvoy’ aims to craft that unique, luxurious and personalized experience all under one roof, with the help of its in-house wedding specialists. 

With this intricately curated evening, Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata has positioned itself as a premium-wedding destination with an experience that is both exceptional and memorable, from ideation to execution. The evening was a coming-together of the city’s crème de la crème, business leaders, cinema artistes and eminent families celebrating the upcoming wedding season with aplomb.

The venue, Ozone convention Centre, came to life in an opulent and regal décor with each floor depicting a different theme. While Monarch Hall, the venue of the fashion soirée, was a showcase of a palatial theme with exotic flowers gracing the ramp, Empress Hall resembled a wedding garden complete with a ‘mandap’ and a reception stage with intricate floral arrangements in natural hues. The Regent Terrace welcomed guests to the old-world charm of a bohemian wedding with vintage wooden décor, a rustic jute ‘shamiana’ and unique photo booths to capture those perfect moments.

The evening commenced with a saree draping masterclass by celebrity draper Dolly Jain and a makeup workshop by celebrity makeup artist Arti Nayar. While keeping a good balance between contemporary and traditional trends, Dolly Jain’s workshop enlightened the audience with the art of saree-draping and Arti Nayar presented different bridal looks while interacting with her audience on the latest makeup trends for the upcoming season.

Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata presented an experience that transcended the guests to a dream wedding. Kolkata based bridal fashion designer Pallavi Poddar, launched ‘The Saaz Collection’, which had a combination of sarees, cocktail gowns and bridal lehengas complemented by opulent menswear collection from eminent fashion designer Ratul Sood’s label "Burlingtons of Calcutta". Tanishq displayed an exquisite range of jewellery from its Rivaah wedding collection. The evening’s luxury mobility partner, BMW, displayed the 2 Gran Coupe and 3 Series Grand Limousine at the entrance of Ozone Convention Centre.

The showstoppers on the ramp were Bengali Cinema’s most eminent names, Nusrat Jahan, Richa Sharma, Priyanka Rati Pal, Darshana Banik and Ravi Shaw, adorned in stunning wedding ensembles.

The evening was celebrated with a food and beverage spread curated to perfection. The Empress Hall staged an array of speciality Indian cuisines namely Bengali, Rajasthani, Marathi and Awadhi, and a unique selection of International cuisines like Mexican, Italian, Japanese and Thai prepared by the master chefs of the hotel. The menu boasted of a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delectable dishes like Chingri Malaikari, Bhapa Bekti Gandharaj, Surkhi Zafrani Paneer, Lemongrass Chicken Skewers, Curried Rosemary Lamb, Togarashi Roll, Thai King Prawns and Hand rolled Praline Truffles, to name a few. The cutting edge culinary demonstration ensured a personal touch in each cuisine, tailor-made for every occasion and palate.
