Chivas Ultis XX: FIRST BLENDED MALT SCOTCH WHISKY FROM THE HOUSE OF CHIVAS REGAL
Chivas Ultis XX is an uncompromising and visionary expression Of Chivas' inimitable style
At the heart of Chivas Regal are its Master Blenders, of which only five have spent their life mastering Chivas’ famous house style since 1909. In celebration of their dedication and talent, Chivas Regal presents Chivas Regal Ultis, the first blended Malt Scotch Whisky from the House of Chivas Regal, for which the brand has hand-selected five of its most precious signature single Malts. Chivas Ultis XX, aged for 20 years, is an outstanding blended Malt Whisky that honours and pays tribute to the strength of the vision, commitment and mastery of five generations of blending excellence. Chivas’ exceptional single grain adds to the complexity and flavour of the malts. These Malts’ distilleries are located across the corners of Speyside, a region of Scotland famed for its microclimate ideal for Whisky-making.
Each component is aged for a minimum of 20 years, and each contributes its unique characteristics to create this truly exceptional scotch. Distilled exclusively in copper pot stills, these precious and treasured old single Malts result in a commanding Whisky, characterised by a complex taste, a rich golden hue: and a powerful aroma. From the Chivas inventory of millions of casks, less than 1% are used to create Chivas Regal Ultis. Chivas’ expert blending team have individually nosed and selected casks with superior character to craft the blend, a traditional method of hand-selection that is no longer standard in the Scotch Whisky industry today and is reserved for only the highest quality blends.

Glenmorangie A Tale of Forest
Description: Rich, deep and fascinating, Glenmorangie A Tale of the Forest is Glenmorangie’s first whisky ever crafted from barley kilned with woodland botanicals. Inspired by the natural, everchanging wonder Glenmorangie’s Director of Whisky Creation, Dr. Bill Lumsden, encounters as he wanders the woods near his home, this experimental limited edition evokes the scents, sounds and sights of the forest itself. Its delightful flavours of pine, juniper and woodsmoke have led illustrator Pomme Chan to dream up her own fantastical forest, showcased on the whisky’s pack.
For over 175 years, Glenmorangie’s whisky creators have been endlessly imaginative in their quest to create delicious single malts – none more so than Dr Bill, known for his ‘What if...?’ approach to whisky. Some years ago, dreaming of a whisky which captured the wonder of a walk in the forest, Dr Bill recalled how ancient Highland whisky makers dried their barley with all kinds of forest fuel. He began experimenting by kilning his barley with many different botanicals, finally selecting juniper berries, birch bark and heather flowers, married with a little peat. The result was a batch of spirit with rare aromas of pine needles and juniper, laced with wisps of smoke. He then aged it in bourbon casks including many refill casks, chosen to allow the spirit’s flavours to shine.
Pairing up with Glenmorangie to bring the whisky’s flavours to life on its pack, Thai illustrator Pomme Chan walked deep into her favourite forest in northern Thailand and began to draw, taking inspiration from her surroundings and her conversations with Dr Bill about Scotland. Soon she created her own fantastical
forest, which inspires the packaging’s design. A feast of sumptuous technicolour, her illustration echoes the flavours and botanicals of the whisky – with blossoming heather, fragrant juniper and oranges and pine cones dancing on the breeze.
