A zoo to be launched by Gujarat Tourism near the Statue of Unity

The Statue of Unity in Gujarat is getting ready to start a world-class zoo. Animals and birds have been brought to India from 17 different countries across the world. The zoo is being developed in Narmada District near the Statue of Unity. Gujarat Tourism is sure that it will become a major attraction for tourists in the coming years. The Statue of Unity being a hit in both national and international tourists will add to the benefits of the zoo. 

The zoo will witness a mix of different animals from across the world. It will cover an area of 1300 ac of land. It will be named as Sardar Patel Zoological Park. Visitors can expect lions, tigers, deers, antelopes, leopards, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, bison and other exotic animals. As of now, they are being kept in the safari park. 

The Statue of Unity is the world’s tallest statue and is twice the size of the famous Statue of Liberty. It is around 200 km away from Ahmedabad and is located near the Sardar Sarovar Dam. The statue was inaugurated on October 31, 2018, and has been a major attraction ever since. There is also a museum here with an audio-visual department that educated visitors on the life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Now with the inclusion of this jungle safari/zoo, the place will be a hotspot for tourism.
