Academy of Pastry Arts, Mumbai to host India Pastry Cup, 201

Mumbai 12 June 2019: India Pastry Cup, the gateway for selecting the National Pastry Team for the Asian Pastry Cup Singapore, April 2020 will be held in Mumbai at Academy of Pastry Arts centre on 15th June, 2019.

The India Pastry Cup will be a day-long competition. Competitors will be judged on their professional skills and ability to provide a practical demonstration of trends and progress in pastry arts. The primary competition is open to Indian citizens and professional pastry chefs currently working in an organisation of repute.

In the competition, teams comprising of two professional chefs from the same organisation will represented the organization. The winning team will get a chance to represent India at the Asian Pastry Cup which will be held during the Food & Hotel Asia 2020 show in Singapore in April 2020. Participants will be judged by an eminent and talented panel of judges that will include Chef Jean Francois Arnaud (MOF – Asia President of the jury APC), Kainaz Messman (Founder & Creative Director Theobroma) and Avijit Ghosh (Corporate Pastry Chef - Hotel Leela Ventures).

Speaking about the event, Chef Niklesh Sharma, Founder, Academy of Pastry Arts said “India Pastry Cup is an integral event for pastry chefs in India and we are pleased to be hosting the event this time. We hope the teams will raise the bar even higher and we look forward to some innovative and world class baking during the competition’’.
