AKARYN Hotel Group (AHG) appoints Demeiter Vaubell as Group Director of Sales and Marketing
AKARYN Hotel Group, the Thailand based luxury boutique resort specialist, has announced the appointment of Demeiter Vaubell as Group Director of Sales and Marketing. A seasoned international hotelier with more than 25 years of experience, the Australian national, Demeiter, has extensive experience driving international sales, partnership marketing and managing customer relations across Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Having completed Hospitality Management & Tourism studies at both the College of Tourism & Hospitality (QLD) and Victoria University in Australia, Demeiter started her hospitality career in Hong Kong where she was part of a successful team that opened the Conrad Hotel. She was also a part of hotel pre-opening teams for Six Senses Resorts & Spas in Vietnam and Alila Hotels in Oman.
Her hospitality experience comes from having worked for a number of international hotel chains around the world including Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, Alila Hotels, Anantara Resorts & Spas, Hyatt Hotels, Hilton Hotels and prior to joining AKARYN Hotel Group, she held the position of Cluster Director of Business Development & Marketing with Accor Hotels.
