Embracing the spirit of environmental conservation, Aloft Bengaluru Outer Ring Road proudly collaborated with Azaad Bharath Riders for a special World Earth Day initiative. Together, they embarked on a significant journey to Bommasandra Lake, where they planted saplings on the banks of the lake. Teaming up with the esteemed NGOs Being Social and Twin Glacier, Aloft ORR spearheaded this impactful endeavor to contribute positively to the ecosystem. The collaboration reflects our shared commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.
As part of this initiative and on the occasion of their first anniversary, the Azaad Bharath Riders, renowned for their spirit of adventure and led by founders Capt. Roy and Prashant Uchil, embarked on a scenic ride to Bommasandra Lake, surrounded by picturesque landscapes. Riding for a noble cause, 60 riders journeyed to Bommasandra Lake, a serene oasis nestled amidst nature's splendor. Upon arrival, they planted over 100 saplings to enhance the biodiversity of the area and promote ecological balance.
“We are thrilled to partner with such dedicated individuals and esteemed NGOs for this meaningful cause," At Aloft, we believe in the power of collective action and are committed to making a tangible difference in our community and beyond.”
Sita Lekshmi, General Manager of Aloft Bengaluru Outer Ring Road
With an ambitious goal in mind, the partnering NGOs, Being Social and Twin Glacier, aim to plant an astounding 1.3 million trees across the city—an endeavor equivalent to the population of the vibrant metropolis. This initiative holds special significance as it marks the first plantation activity of the NGOs for the year 2024, heralding the onset of the eagerly anticipated monsoon season.
This collaborative effort underscores Marriott International’s commitment to sustainable practices and responsible tourism. By leveraging our resources and platforms, we aim to inspire others to take proactive steps towards environmental conservation.
