Homegrown FMCG major Dabur on Friday declared the elevation of Amit Burman as the chairman f the company as part of the family successions plans, earlier Amit served as the company’s vice-chairman.
The son of late Gyan C Burman, Amit 50 replaced Anand C Burman, who stepped down as director and chairman of the Rs 8,533 crore company. Furthermore, Dabur appointed Mohit Burman as the vice-chairman & inducted Aditya Burman as the Non-executive additional director on the board.
Dabur former CEO, Sunil Duggal has resigned from the position, the company stated. Amit is credited with spearheading Dabur’s foray into the packaged food buisness with the launch of juices under the REAL brand, He is also well known for buisness set-up on food retailing venture Lite Bite food which currently operated around 100 restaurants globally.
