INDIA, 28 September 2022: It was an auspicious evening for the country’s leading wellness centre as the Government of India presented Atmantan with the ‘Best Wellness Centre’ (west) award at the National Tourism Awards 2018-19.
Held at Raj Bhavan, Delhi, the ceremony saw the Hon’ble Minister of Tourism Shri G. Kishan Reddy and the Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar present the award to founders Sharmilee Agrawal Kapur and Nikhil Kapur on National Tourism Day.
Through this award the Ministry of Tourism recognises Atmantan's revolutionary achievements in the health and wellness segment. Appreciating the efforts towards the development of Indian tourism, Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar said, "It is the recognition of the hard work that not only pays homage to our country's culture but Indian Tourism sector has also emerged as one of the key drivers of growth for nation's economy & employment generation post covid.
He underlined that the ministry of tourism is making sure that every sector of tourism is on an incremental trajectory. He also described India as “heaven for tourism” and urged Indians to explore domestic tourist destinations first before considering International travel. Aligned with the
growing global interest in our ancient practices of healing such as Ayurveda and Yoga, he also emphasized that India has immense potential in the field of medical and wellness tourism.
