Baklava Day - From Istanbul to India, finally, the city is owning the original Turkish delight 'Baklava'!

Greeks and Turks have been locked in a tussle for centuries over the origins of this scrumptious dessert called baklava and the debate between many ethnic groups such as the Greek, Turkish and Middle Easterners over its origin is still on. 

Over the years this humble Baklava has gone through a transition. A modern-day Baklava has got a modern makeover. It is rich, sweet and high on presentation.

A few years from now, it was difficult for Mumbaikar to binge on that authentic Baklava,  since not many could crack the real Baklava or were not easily available.

But with the food going global, restaurants and home bakers are getting experimental and serving Baklava in Mumbai too.
