September 2025 — Vanaha Gin, crafted by Revelry Distillery in the lush Sattari forests of North Goa, is setting new standards for what Indian craft spirits can achieve both in flavour and innovation. Behind the brand is Vaniitha Jaiin, one of the first women in India to independently build, own, and run a distillery. In an industry historically built by men and dominated by legacy names, her journey is nothing short of historic. Inspired by a forest epiphany Vanaha blends vana (forest) and aha (a moment of realisation) this spirit channels purity, curiosity, and refined botanical craftsmanship into every bottle. Distilled and bottled at Revelry Distillery Vanaha’s forest-to-bottle approach has already earned global recognition, with the Vanaha gin being the only Gin in the world shortlisted in the ‘Innovation in Production’ category at the prestigious The Spirits Business Awards 2025—a category that includes just three finalists worldwide. This marks a powerful milestone not just for the brand, but for Indian spirits on the world stage.

With over 200 botanicals considered and studied, this layered method ensures that Vanaha emerges as a spirit rich in texture, aroma, and integrity. Vaniitha Jaiin is a pioneering force in the luxury beverage industry, seamlessly blending a strong corporate background with an unshakable passion for wines and spirits. Born in Ambasamudram, Tamil Nadu, into a traditional family, her early years surrounded by nature were shaped by personal tragedy—an experience that instilled resilience from a young age. By 13, she began entrepreneurial ventures to fund her education and, by 19, became a top-performing life insurance agent.

Her corporate journey spanned over a decade with leadership roles at top firms like Satyam, Ogilvy, Adecco, Flipkart, and Edifecs, where she built deep expertise in marketing, brand strategy, and consumer engagement. Over fifteen years, she travelled extensively across Europe, the US, and the UK—learning directly from global masters, judging international wine and spirit competitions, and becoming one of the few Indian professionals recognized as a globally travelled wine and spirits judge.

Her first venture, The Perfect Pour, was born from this journey, aimed at demystifying fine beverages through education, tastings experiences, building GTM strategies for alco bev brands and immersive storytelling.

In 2017, during a soul-stirring visit to the forests of Pondicherry, Vaniitha experienced a powerful moment of clarity. The name “Vanaha” was born—a blend of vana (forest) and aha (a moment of realization). Although not tied to a product at the time, the name stayed with her.

Years later, when she decided to create her first spirit—a gin—naming it Vanaha felt like destiny. Gin, known for its botanical base, naturally aligned with the spirit of the forest. With Vanaha, Vaniitha channels purity, curiosity, and nature’s surprise into every bottle, setting out to transform India’s spirits industry with a brand rooted in both personal evolution and nature’s wonder.
