Binge Celebrates the Koli Community with a Special Menu

December 2023: Binge, the fun and relaxed sister restaurant of Bastian, serving modern world cuisine in small plates, and extraordinary cocktails, is celebrating the Koli community, one of the oldest fishing communities in Maharashtra, with a special, week-long menu. 

Highlighting the finest local seafood, the Koli Menu at Binge will offer dishes like a traditional Fish Fry with a choice of mackerel, pomfret, red snapper, Kingfish or Bombay Duck pan-fried and served with chutney; Koliwada prawns or mushroom; Seafood Ceviche, a smorgasbord of calamari, prawns, snapper, marinated serrano pepper, pico de gallo, avocado slices and tortilla chips; Fried Calamari served with chipotle ranch; and Goan Curry with Jasmine Rice with a choice of prawns or pomfret. Wash it all down with a Koliwada Picante, tequila, agave nectar, fresh lime juice, green chili, fresh pineapple, and curry leaves; and end the meal on a sweet note with Shaggy Coconut Sundae, coconut ice cream, torched banana, roasted coconut and spiced peanuts. 

The special a la carte Koli Festival menu is available from December 5, 2023 for one week only, at Binge. Diners can enjoy the dishes from 5:00 pm till closing, through the week.
