Biryani by Kilo (BBK) is all set to amp up Pune’s party season with its authentic and lip-smacking biryani. Founded by Food Industry veterans and passionate professionals Kaushik Roy and Vishal Jindal, BBK is the king of fresh dum-cooked handi biryanis and kebabs. BBK owes its existence to the founders’ vision to preserve age-old biryani, kebab and korma recipes from across India.
BBK is the only biryani chain, which cooks fresh biryani individually in handis for every order in age-old Khansama style, and delivers biryani in the same pot it was cooked in to ensure freshness. Curated delicacies
The list of USPs of BBK is topped by the use of two-year naturally aged Daawat basmati rice and spices sourced directly from Kerala. The range of biryanis under the BBK ambit includes delicacies from Malabar, Ambur, Hyderabad, Lucknow and Kolkata with chicken, mutton and prawn variations. Apart from biryani, the menu also has Mangalorean Chicken, Dal Nizami, Biryani Masala Curry, Kebabs, Kormas, Curry Leaf Raita and much more. Vegetarian options include Paneer Nawabi, Peshawari Chole Biryani, Kathal and Paneer Biryani, Paneer 65, Mushroom Pepper Fry, Burani Raita, etc. Popular choices of dessert on their menu include Phirni and Double ka Meetha.
BBK started with an only-delivery format. Today, it has several dine-in outlets, too, in its list of 25 plus stores. 10 other outlets are in the pipeline at key locations in different parts of the country. It offers loyalty programs for its online customers and orders are accepted both online and through their call centre. Kaushik Roy, Founder & CEO, has an experience of over two decades in running over 200 restaurants as ex-Group COO of Zooropa Foods. He has a passion for photography and music.
Vishal Jindal, Co-Founder & Director, Strategy/Marketing is a diehard foodie with vast entrepreneurial experience and expertise in private equity and scaling up. He previously founded an India-focused private equity fund Carpediem Capital Partners, based in Gurgaon. He is a frequent speaker on start-ups/entrepreneurship and a passionate reader/traveler.
