Anggel's Share, in collaboration with Flor de Caña, is set to redefine India's cocktail landscape with the groundbreaking Flor de Caña Sustainable Cocktail Competition. This remarkable event marks the inaugural edition of a competition that resonates with innovation, sustainability, and the rich tapestry of Indian mixology. As part of Flor de Caña's global initiative to promote sustainable mixology practices, this competition brings together the finest bartenders to showcase their creativity and craft. The final competition and cocktails will be judged by Riyaaz Amlani, Managing Director, Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. (IEHPL), Priyanka Blah, Founder & Editor – The Dram Attic and Pierre Pinault, Area Manager - Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa of Flor de Caña Rum. The grand finale, where the spotlight will be on uniquely curated cocktails, is scheduled to take place at Masque on September 4, 2023.

Notably, this competition transcends the ordinary, demanding participants to source ingredients from their kitchens, emphasizing a conscious approach to cocktail creation. Beyond the thrilling competition, the event underscores the growing trend of sustainable cocktails, proving that environmental responsibility can harmoniously coexist with taste and innovation. Underlining the profound growth of Indian mixology, Anggel's Share, in collaboration with Flor de Caña, has championed this extraordinary competition, aligning with a global initiative that heralds a new era of responsible cocktail culture. A substantial pool of more than 25 bars entered the competition, with the spotlight now shining on the top 10 finalists representing esteemed establishments such as Akina, Koko, Masque, Perch, Slink & Bardot in Mumbai; Sidecar and Olive in Delhi; as well as Foo, 10 Speakeasy, and Zlb23 in Bangalore, as they vie for victory in the upcoming grand finals.

The winners of the India finals will be awarded prestigious titles and an array of exciting prizes, including the esteemed title of Flor de Caña's Sustainable Champion, a trophy crafted from sustainable materials, a premium bartender kit, an engraved Flor de Caña 25-year rum bottle, an invitation to the Asia Regional Finale, and an exclusive guest shift in the APAC region. Moreover, the victorious contender and runner-up of the Asia Regional Final will seize the remarkable opportunity to represent India on the global stage in the 2024 finals, hosted in Nicaragua, accompanied by their respective managers.

The judging criteria for the sustainable cocktails virtual selection are as follows:

·       Concept/Story: 20 points - Evaluate the ability to bring the cocktail's story to life.

·       Creativity: 20 points - Emphasizes the uniqueness of the cocktail.

·       Sustainable Ingredients and Components: 50 points - Judges the use of sustainable ingredients that comply with the sustainable ingredient criteria.

·       Cocktail Appearance/Photo: 10 points - Considers the visual appeal of the cocktail presentation.
