Candy & Green Launches a Brand-New Menu

Candy & Green, the all-vegetarian, charming dining room & bar at Breach Candy, has just launched a brand-new menu. A love letter to the fresh produce in the city, the new menu features dishes that are fun yet fresh, unique yet familiar, and comforting yet conscious.

As part of the restaurant’s commitment to operate sustainably and be considerate of the environment, owner Shraddha Bhansali has created a rooftop garden where many of the herbs and greens used in the kitchen are cultivated. What’s more, the restaurant’s live green walls ensure that nothing is ever in short supply; this zero-food mile produce approach results in a menu that is thoughtfully sustainable and consistently delicious.

Diners can begin their meal with a light and refreshing Soup like Lemon Coriander, made with lotus root and ginger; followed by Salads like the Harvest Kale and Sweet Potato Salad, with honey-glazed sweet potato, quinoa, carrot, pumpkin seeds, lemon vinaigrette, and parmesan. Other options include the Falafel Garden Salad, falafel bullets, sautéed kale, cucumber ribbons, toasted pita, crunchy chickpeas, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds and sesame vinaigrette; and Candy & Green’s House Salad, lettuce, carrot, cucumber, cherry tomato, vegetarian mushroom bacon, feta, pumpkin seeds, puffed amaranth, and healthy honey mustard dressing.

Those looking for something heartier can enjoy Burgers, like the Quinoa Vegetable Burger, a curried quinoa and vegetable patty, with caramelized onion mayo and Candy’s coleslaw; or stone-baked flatbreads such as the Vegan Meatball option, with mozzarella, mushroom and tofu meatballs and basil; or the house special Truffle Cream version, with mozzarella, cheddar, cream base, truffle oil and mushroom. A whole range of Starters includes dishes like Guacamole & Salsa with spinach and beetroot nacho chips; and vegetarian Korean Hot Wings, crispy broccoli florets, Korean gochujang sauce, fried glass noodles, spring onions and toasted sesame.

Bowl food enthusiasts will enjoy Superfood Bowls like the Poke Bowl, ginger soya brown rice, Sriracha-marinated tofu, sweet onion, pickled radish, Candy’s slaw and cucumber; and the Satay Paneer Bowl, satay paneer steaks, pineapple and basil brown rice, carrot & zucchini ribbons, Candy’s coleslaw and Thai peanut dressing.

Carb lovers will delight in Mains such as Prana Ramen, Khao soi broth, rice noodles, tofu, carrot, fried onions, radish and peanut; and Thai Drunken Noodles, flat rice noodles, spicy peanut sauce, bok choi, Chinese cabbage and bell pepper.

The popularity of Avocado Toast is still going strong and the new menu at Candy & Green does not disappoint on this front. Guests can sample options like Avocado & Feta Mousse on Toast, with almond flakes, basil and extra virgin olive oil; and Avocado & Beetroot on Toast, with beetroot jam.

The Dessert menu at Candy & Green is a perfect example of how diners can indulge while still staying on the healthy side. Options like Chocolate & Avocado Mousse with coconut milk and maple syrup; gluten-free Carrot Cake with cream cheese ice cream; and Warm Chocolate Hazelnut Cake gluten-free and sugar-free chocolate cake with vegan hazelnut ganache, are all great picks for those who like to stick to their diets, yet still indulge.

The same logic is applied to the cocktail menu, that features a series of Wellness Cocktails. These include be VIBRANT, a bell pepper and basil vodka martini; be CAREFREE, watermelon mojito with whiskey; be STELLAR, vanilla hibiscus bellini with sparkling wine; and be EPIC, mango and birds eye chili with tequila. What’s more, guests can enjoy a range of organic and vegan wines from across the globe; as well as Candy & Green’s house wines, made under their own label.

A range of unusual non-alcoholic beverages is also available, such as Hibiscus Lime Probiotic Ice Tea Kombucha; Activated Charcoal Lemonade, made of house-made ginger lemonade and charcoal powder; Cold-Pressed Juices; Cold Brew Coffee; and even Smoothie Bowls, like the Peanut Butter & Chocolate version, made of banana, cocoa, coconut butter and oats.
