Uber eats, a food ordering and delivery platform, launched by Uber, has entered into a partnership with Café Coffee Day, popularly known as CCD. The ventured emphasises on launching a virtual restaurant network.
As per the partnership agreement, uber eats will provide CCD with data and analytics, regarding consumer behaviour as per popular food requirements. The plan is to launch menu offerings as per vivid consumer trends for “delivery only” virtual restaurants.
"We are thrilled to partner with Cafe Coffee Day the pioneers of café culture in India - our fastest growing global market. Using experience and lessons learned in the virtual restaurant space from our global operations, we hope to provide our Indian restaurant partners greater growth opportunities. Our customers too will enjoy ordering and eating their favourite everyday meals at the tap of a button." says Jason Droege, vice president of uber everything at uber technologies.
Venu Madhav, Chief Executive Officer, Cafe Coffee Day quoted "With this association, we aim to take the goodwill and trust earned in the F&B space and combine it with new age reality of virtual restaurants to offer everyday meals that can be delivered to nomadic millennials at home or at work in a convenient manner.”
The first virtual restaurant is expected to be launched this November. We hope it turns out to be a profitable and fruitful venture for both the companies.
