India, 10th November, 2021: Chandon India, the sparkling wine from the Moët Hennessy portfolio made with the finest of locally sourced grapes has won two silver medals for Chandon India Brut & Chandon India Rosé at The Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships 2021.

The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships (CSWWC) is the only international sparkling wine competition judged by sparkling wine specialists, for the new generation of sparkling wine consumers who enjoy sparkling wine on any occasion. The CSWWC endorses provenance and promotes world-class sparkling wines of every region as gastronomic wines par excellence. The competition is now in its 7th year and continues to grow in followership and stature. It is the largest and toughest sparkling wine competition in the world. Reinforcing the brand’s unparalleled quality and consistent craftsmanship.

Chandon Brut is an elegant expression of the Chandon style with a fresh bouquet of citrus blossom, green apple and hints of tropical fruit and vanilla. The grape varieties include 70% Chenin Blanc, 15% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay.

Chandon Rosé is a sophisticated and delicate expression of Chandon. Intense aromas of ripe cherries, red fruits and soft grapefruit lead to a rich, creamy, persistent finish with subtle hints of guava and rose petal pot pourri. This variant is made of 100% Shiraz.

Speaking on the accolades, Kaushal Khairnar – Chandon India Winemaker said, “It is with great pride that we celebrate these medals as it is truly humbling to be recognized by the industry’s finest professionals. We have worked hard to create Chandon and we will continue to pursue the highest quality of excellence. I am already proud of what we have achieved, but this is a journey; and we will continue to strive for the best.”

Moët Hennessy India introduced Chandon Brut and Chandon Rosé handcrafted from grapes, home grown in Nashik’s Dindori region. Chandon is the first offering from Moët Hennessy to be produced locally in India.
