This year marks a significant milestone for Biergarten, the beloved microbrewery that has become a cornerstone of Bangalore's vibrant social scene. Seven years ago, we opened our doors, and since then, Biergarten has been much more than just a place to enjoy great beers; it's a community, a home away from home. As we reflect on our first seven years, we're excited to embark on the journey of the next seven, guided by the invaluable feedback and stories shared by our cherished customers.

Over the years, our patrons have expressed their love for Biergarten as the backdrop for forming lasting friendships, enjoying excellent beers, and creating cherished memories with both friends and family. To honor this deep connection, we are thrilled to introduce our newest outlet at Manyata Business Park.

To guide us on this exciting phase, we collaborated with Small Town Folk, a renowned brand and design consultancy. Ashish Arora, Co-Founder at Small Town Folk, explained, "The deep appreciation for the brand’s consistent delivery of food, beer & service stood out during our conversations with customers. We used this core insight to craft their new brand promise of 'Always familiar,' which we translated across their identity, beer naming strategy & character stories."

The new brand identity, featuring a Biergarten leaf transformed into a butterfly, symbolizes the social butterfly and serves as a representation of our community. This design-first approach aims to make the new brand relatable and bring out the true Biergarten spirit that our customers have experienced over the years.

To bring this spirit to life in our new space at Manyata Tech Park, we collaborated with Maia Design Studio, a leading Bangalore-based interior architecture & design firm. Shruti Jaipuria, founder of Maia Design Studio, emphasized, "We aimed for a space that exuded both expansiveness and intimacy, crafting an atmosphere that's not just intimate but irresistibly inviting."

Biergarten at Manyata Tech Park is a sprawling 10,000 sqft space with a large indoor and outdoor section. The heart of the space is a centrally positioned bar adorned with beer taps, creating a focal point visible from every corner, anchoring the atmosphere with the essence of Biergarten brews. The layouts consist of large open spaces that effortlessly transform for both intimate gatherings and larger corporate events.

The material palette, featuring natural tones of brown and grey, and the deliberate use of terracotta tiles and eco-friendly lime plaster, creates a warm and welcoming environment. An exposed brewery and kitchen invite guests into the heart of the brewing process, showcasing the industrial feel. A large light fitting, handcrafted by artisans in Kerala, adds a touch of tradition to the contemporary setting.
