Chef Reetika Gill announces her Trans-fat free Restaurant

At IFCA’s 8th International Chef’s Conference, the chef fraternity of the Indian culinary industry took an oath to make India Trans-fat free. The oath was taken in the presence of the Health Minister of India, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Mr. Pawan Agarwal, CEO, FSSAI and the Praesidium of IFCA. A new Trans-fat free logo was also launched at this conference. The step is taken by the health ministry and FSSAI in collaboration to save Indians from Trans-fat. The ministry believes that Fit citizens make a better country 8th ICC, IFCA proved to be the best platform to launch the Trans-fat free logo. The culinary industry is now sure about their goal to make India Trans-fat free. It is said that good work should not be delayed. Hence Chefs have started taking steps on sustainable cooking. 

Taking this great initiative forward, Chef Reetika Gill has declared her restaurant Curry Singh Kitchens, the first restaurant of India to serve Trans-fat free food. It is a proud moment for the Indian Culinary Industry. Chef Reetika has set an example for the industry. The step taken by her is inspiring for the restaurant industry as well as for the Chef fraternity. Chef Reetika is among the pioneers to take a step towards Fit India.
