Indulge in the wholesome goodness of millets with Celebrity Chef Vicky Ratnani as he unveils a delectable Millet Chat recipe using Godrej Yummiez’s Millet Patty.
Ingredients:
For the green chutney:
* Handful of fresh coriander
* Few fresh mint leaves
* Green chillies – 2 nos
* Fresh ginger – ½ inch
* Fresh garlic -3-4 cloves
* Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
* Pinch of salt & sugar
* Ice cubes – 1-2 nos
For the chaat:
* Godrej Yummiez Millet Patty – 5-6 patties
* Cherry tomatoes – 200 gms
* Whole Spring onions – 150gms
* Fresh coriander – handful
* Fresh mint – handful
* Lemon – 1 nos
* Yogurt – 1 cup
* Sugar – 1 tsp
* Salt to taste
* Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
* Chaat Masala – ½ tsp
* Oil to fry
Instructions:
1. Pan-fry the frozen Godrej Yummiez Millet patties in hot oil
2. Once crisp, drain on paper towels and cut into quarters.
3. Fry the millet patty quarters once again for a crisp finish
4. Whip yogurt and a pinch of sugar in a bowl and set aside once smooth
5. Chop cherry tomatoes and set aside
6. Chop whole spring onions and set aside
7. Chop fresh coriander and mint and set aside
8. Blend coriander, fresh mint leaves, 2 green chillies – depending on how spicy you want it, ½ inch fresh ginger and 3-4 cloves of garlic
9. Drop in an ice cube to retain the green color, a pinch of salt & sugar and a squeeze of lemon for zing. Churn this till you get a smooth green chutney
10. In a bowl, combine chopped cherry tomatoes, spring onions, fresh coriander & mint and some pomegranate seeds
11. Add the crispy pieces of the Godrej Yummiez Millet Patty and toss to combine
12. Finally drizzle with the sweet yogurt, top with the green chutney and some ready-to-serve tamarind date chutney
13. Serve with sprinkle of red chilli powder, chaat masala, a squeeze of lime and top with crunchy sev
