Coast & Bloom is the brainchild of Mitra Walke, who brings with him the learnings and the principles of famed, Chaitanya and Nav-Chaitanya - which have been flourishing in Mumbai since the 90s. From Malvan's tranquil shores to Mumbai's vibrant street, Mitra's journey thrives with passion and inspiration from his parent's legacy, one that is built on the principles of Authenticity, Hygiene, Transparency, and Localisation and Empowerment. Rooting these principles as a founding stone and motivated by a deep-rooted love for preserving the essence of traditional recipes, Coast & Bloom was born with a vision to take this culinary journey global, offering a delectable array of coastal delicacies from diverse regions.

Coast & Bloom offers an enchanting multi-functional venue that transports guests into a realm of coastal charm designed by Nishant Umesh Desai, the Creative Director of Umesh Desai and Associates. The journey to the sun-kissed shores and its culinary gems begins long before the patrons enter the restaurant with a façade that is adorned with full-sized panel metal windows seamlessly connecting the indoors with the outdoors and distressed texture paint and custom wall lamps, both reminiscent of coastal features, setting the tone for the experience that awaits within. The door opens to a vast 110-seater uplifted space, including the Bar, PDR and smoking room. Every element from suspended fabric installation, to wooden-beamed and soft-textured ceilings, hand-stitched jute chandeliers, and stone textured walls, is crafted by coastal artisans to evoke the serenity of the shores. The expansive Private Dining Room is divided with sliding partitions, easily adapted for gatherings, and features an ocean-inspired mural that graces one wall, while jute-adorned screens add drama to the entrance. The boat-shaped dome ceiling, decked with cane and alabaster lights, pays homage to maritime roots and cultural essence, bathing the space in a warm glow.

The menu conceptualised by Chef Prasad Parab is a reflection of Coast & Bloom’s vision, with meticulously curated dishes from shorelines across the globe keeping in mind every palette from a traditional meal for the older generation, to innovative dishes for the middle-aged and fancier creations for the younger generation. Chef Parab's culinary journey has taken him across the globe, working with some of the finest chefs, including Michelin-starred. From starting his career at The Leela Penta in 1999 his expertise has evolved through French, Mexican, American, Thai, Mediterranean, Modern Italian, and Regional Indian cuisines, he brings this experience to Coast & Bloom. 

The menu offers a myriad variety for vegetarians and non-vegetarians, especially pescetarians. Fish lovers can savour imported varieties like Scallops and Norwegian Salmon, along with indigenous varieties like - Rawas, Pomfret, Tiger Prawns, Bombil and Lobster, among others. Each used in meticulously crafted dishes, bringing authenticity and a touch of traditional flavour from their originating shores. From Louisiana Crab Cakes that transport you to the vibrant streets of New Orleans to the freshness of the Insalata Mista, a canvas of flavours from the Italian coast to Kokum Shrimps -  a dish that takes a combined inspiration from Peruvian and western region of Konkan to Motla, a beloved Malvani delicacy, this dish showcases the essence of traditional home-style cooking, there is something for everyone. From Spanakopitas' captivating Mediterranean symphony to Mapo Tofu, the Sichuan classic from the Asian coast renowned for its distinct spice and numbing flavours, among many other dishes are bound to make an everlasting impression on your palate!

Complementing the mains are impeccable rice preparations, such as the aromatic Nasi Goreng, the flavorful Moplah Biryani, and the tantalising Kolambi Khichdi. For an unforgettable experience, savour the Crab Chopper, an ode to the street-style Indo-Chinese delicacy, where wok-tossed crab meat is infused with spicy Indo-Chinese-style sauces.

If you still feel you are away from the pescetarian heaven, Chef’s special offerings will add the final touch where a range of delicacies like Alaskan Scallops, Norwegian Salmon, Live Mud Crabs, and Nobashi Prawns await, each impeccably presented in their unique signature style. 

The bar menu is a culmination of inspiration derived from culture, heritage, and culinary traditions with modern mixology to amalgamate with the food. The menu has been meticulously crafted to embody the essence of coastal living. Inspired by the Malabar Coastal region, Nacre is a beautiful concoction with a rice-based spirit paired with Sichuan pepper which amalgamates with the flavours of a Raspberry umeshu liqueur. Immerse yourself in the enchanting Forage where Champa flowers and Amaro are crisped to form a poetic balance on the palate by its floral notes. Take your senses on a trip to southern India with Malligai where Aperol & Greenapple harmoniously partner to open up the flavours of Mogra. An ode to the country’s rich Ayurvedic roots, Tapaswani is a refreshing concoction that marries Jatamansi liqueur with Gin and Tulsi vermouth.
