Pune, 13 February 2024– Chiranjeev Restaurant and Foods Pvt Ltd, the parent company of the esteemed Malaka Spice, marked a significant milestone today by engaging in a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity to commemorate the birthday of their beloved Chef Cheeru.
In the spirit of giving back to the community, Chiranjeev Restaurant and Food Pvt Ltd chose to celebrate late Chef Cheeru's birthday by supporting those in need. Founder Praful Chandawarkar shared, "It is our beloved Chef Cheeru’s birthday today and a very special day for us at Malaka Spice. Her creativity, sensitivity and values of free thinking continue to inspire us to this day! Like every year on this day, we do our part to support those who need help and support."
This year, the House of Malaka extended its benevolence by donating one month's worth of essential ration to two organizations – CIMS (Care Institute of Medical Science) and Prayas Healthcare. The donation included 80 kilograms of ration to CIMS, aiding in their mission to support underprivileged resident cancer patients.
In addition to the ration contribution, Chiranjeev Restaurant and Food Pvt Ltd also donated masks and surgical gloves to Prayas Healthcare, a gesture aimed at supporting their ongoing efforts in healthcare provision.
Both CIMS and Prayas Healthcare are also close partners of the Live Life Love Life Charity Foundation, which is an NGO co-founded by Praful Chandawarkar in 2013 that helps to raise funds for the cancer treatment of women from underprivileged backgrounds and for early detection of cancer. The Foundation is also associated with Nag Foundation that primarily focuses on breast cancer treatment by using the antibody Herceptin which increases the chances of curing the patient.
This initiative reflects the company's commitment to social responsibility and underscores the importance of giving back to the community, especially during challenging times. Chiranjeev Restaurant and Food Pvt Ltd believes that small acts of kindness can make a significant impact on the lives of those less fortunate.
