“The reopening of our upgraded bottling plant marks a momentous milestone for Courtyard and Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Outer Ring Road. We remain steadfast in our dedication to implementing sustainable practices that minimize our environmental impact while providing exceptional hospitality experiences to our guests,"

Suveer Sodhi, the Cluster General Manager.

The upgraded bottling plant represents a strategic investment in sustainable practices, enabling the minimization of carbon footprints and the reduction of single-use plastic waste. Producing the bottled beverages in-house achieves a substantial decrease in the need for external packaging materials, transportation emissions, and plastic consumption. The plant can churn out 500-600 bottles per hour, with capacities of 300 ml and 500 ml. This initiative is aimed to eradicate the use of approximately 6 lakh plastic bottles annually. The sustainability partner in this endeavour is Lucerne Waters Pvt Ltd, a company which manufactures glass bottling plants and packaged drinking water filled in glass bottles with added minerals. The bottling plant yields alkaline water abundant in essential minerals such as calcium, potassium, and magnesium, boasting a pH level ranging from 7.2 to 8.

Sustainability remains at the core of the operations, and the reopening of the in-house bottling plant reaffirms the commitment to implementing eco-friendly solutions. This initiative seamlessly aligns with Marriott International's global sustainability goals, which prioritize waste reduction, water conservation and energy efficiency.

Through investment in sustainable infrastructure and practices, Courtyard and Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Outer Ring Road aim to make a positive contribution to the environment and the communities served.
