KESAR BADAM HALWA
A classical rich dessert perfect for this festive season

Ingredients:
- Almond – 500 gms
- Milk – 1 ltr
- Sugar – 100 gms
- Ghee – 100 ml
- Saffron strands – a pinch for garnish
Method:
- In a bowl of water add almonds and soak overnight.
- Drain the water and peel the skin of the almonds.
- In a blender, add milk and almonds and blend till smooth.
- Soak saffron strands in hot milk and keep aside.
- Place a thick bottomed nonstick pan on medium flame and add 100 ml of ghee.
- v Add in the almond mixture and stir for 5 minutes on low flame.
- v Add sugar and stir well for another 5 minutes.
- v Add saffron soaked milk to the mix and keep stirring.
- v Cook the halwa by stirring until it turns into a thick mixture.
- v Serve warm or chilled.
