Ekaa’s Tasting Menu 2.0 - A refreshing Summer- Monsoon Edit

Holding onto the promise of constantly evolving and learning, Ekaa is back with a refreshing Chef’s Tasting menu 2.0 inspired by Summer and Monsoon. With this menu, Chef Niyati Rao envisions highlighting the relationship that each individual has with this season which trickles down to quintessential food memories while being largely influenced by the ecosystems they reside in. 

With a belief that every menu is organically different from the previous one, each dish on this 10-course menu is meticulously curated to celebrate the connection of experience and that of surprise one has when exploring new ingredients.

The menu took about 1.5 months to ideate and elevate itself with rare ingredients for a mystical touch and is sourced from around the world. Some of the interesting ingredients that will feature on the menu include Indian Himalayan rainbow trout, fermented bamboo shoots, Axone (fermented soybeans from Nagaland), Myrobalan plum, or cherry plums, and Mangosteens from Kerala, among others. Each one has been carefully added to the menu to bring out its unique taste, texture, and flavour thus offering a fresh and innovative palette that tickles the taste buds. 

The best things happen unexpectedly, and thus to maintain the element of surprise, the menu will not be printed but rather presented directly. This takes the essence of experiencing food to another level, where tastes and flavour preside over the names.
