Kolkata: The time-honored ritual of cake mixing is believed to bring good luck and prosperity for the upcoming festive season. The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat kicked off the festive season in grand style with a delightful Cake Mixing Ceremony on 18th November 2023 at the poolside. This joyful event marked the beginning of the Yuletide season, ushering in the spirit of togetherness, merriment, and the anticipation of Christmas.

The event, held at the exquisite premises of the property, was graced by an array of esteemed guests, including hotel patrons, local dignitaries,bloggers/influencers and HNIs of the city like Satrajit Sen with wife Sudheshna, Prithviraj Choudhury ,Sudarshan Chakravorty, Mariam Zaki, Kushal Mehta, Indrajit Lahiri to name some, all coming together to partake in the traditional cake mixing ceremony. The ceremony was witnessed by the presence of renowned chefs and culinary experts, who showcased their skills and expertise in preparing the perfect blend of ingredients for the Christmas cakes.

In a charming outdoor setting adorned with festive decorations and sparkling lights, patrons donned chef hats and aprons, eagerly participating in the cake mixing. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, joy, and a sense of unity as participants joyfully mixed a variety of ingredients, including fruits, nuts, spices, and spirits, all soaked in the spirit of Christmas. 

Following the cake mixing ceremony, the hotel treated its guests to a delightful spread of Christmas-themed appetizers, concoctions and beverages, showcasing the hotel's newly launched Kolkata Bread Company, allowing everyone to continue the festivities in style and  ensuring that the evening was not just about mixing cakes but also indulging in the flavors of the season.
