Women empowerment refers to making women capable of deciding for themselves. Giving them the choices make them powerful which is one aspect of gender equity. Indian Women in Hospitality (IWH) is doing just that for the ladies in hospitality, tourism and wellness. IWH is a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, ideating, mentoring and empowering. Another aspect being creating awareness about the industry still not understood well; especially with respect to careers for women. Indian lady hospitality professionals from around the world are creating benchmarks. The community is growing and it is the ecosystem partner of many powerful forums and also some of the top hospitality publications.
The key objectives are clearly mentioned in the vision and mission; they serve as a guide and the roadmap to be the global voice for Indian Women in Hospitality. The founder along with the core team has been working to amplify the IWH platform for Indian women working in the hospitality industry globally to reach their fullest potential by sharing knowledge and mentoring future leaders. Collaborating to strengthen their roles in all spheres of their lives - personal, professional and the community through self-reliance, dignity and equality. IWH has been supporting social causes that are meaningful and empower people especially women.
With the right mentoring and collaboration people can do wonders. They can contribute to and create great value for their organisations given the right opportunities. We have the veterans as well as the newbies to the industry on one platform. There are many role models and inspirational personal journeys of the ladies that motivate others to become the best versions of themselves.

The IWH Power League e meet!
Ladies joined from around the globe, some waking up as early as 4 am to be a part of the first meet. They all shared their empowering introductions keeping them crisp yet powerful. It went on for almost 2 hours; energizing everyone present and also the ones who couldn’t make it due to their personal commitments for a Sunday evening or Sunday early morning for some. One of the reactions of the meet being that the ladies were like 1000 times Duracell batteries, creating that positive charge in all. The attendees were happily giving glimpses of their empowering personal journeys. Some wanted to connect with women from the underprivileged backgrounds, who were deprived of many necessary things quite normal to others; thus taking the vision of IWH forward. Each one had so much to learn from all the others present, each shining in her own light. An enriching evening with glorious stories of the dynamic ladies in a power packed session would be the apt summary of the first meet.
