Built by HH Maharaja Jayaji Rao Scindia of the Maratha dynasty, this illustrious landmark has borne witness to centuries of history, hosting royalty and dignitaries from around the world. The palace’s 50 spacious rooms and suites transcend time, offering a glimpse into an era of nobility and splendour.  Rightfully named after the first light of the sun, the rooms set in nine acres of sun-drenched gardens are adorned with intricate filigree work and jaali-inspired arches which let natural light to flow in.  Guests can step into a bygone era, complete with a ceremonial horse-drawn carriage and the traditional Maratha tutari welcome on arrival. The majestic Navtaalswimming pool, ingeniously designed as nine lakes connected by Venetian-inspired bridges, stands as a heavenly centrepiece of the palace's lawns.
