Farm-to-fresh food brand Country Delight aims to serve 1 lakh houses in Kolkata by 2027

India, October 13, 2022: One of the fastest-growing natural food brands, Country Delight has marked a remarkable growth in the city by serving over 10,000 customers within one year of starting operations in Kolkata and adding 2000-3000 customers every month. The massive consumer demand for natural and fresh food products from Kolkata has helped the company reach such peak heights. Country Delight now aims to serve 1 lakh houses in the city of joy in the coming years.

Launched in September 2021 in Kolkata, the brand is planning to launch dairy products apart from milk, such as paneer, ghee etc. The brand has taken a cue from Bengali Misti Doi recipe and launched it in the Northern part of the country, and will bring it to Kolkata soon. They have 3000 delivery partners in the city so far. Also, planning to introduce grocery delivery in the next 6-7 months.

Incepted in 2015, Country Delight is a tech-driven direct-to-home consumer brand offering natural, fresh, and minimally processed products sourced directly from farmers across India. From a Pan-India level, it has conducted 8 million monthly deliveries with a presence in 15 Indian cities and achieved INR 321 crore in FY21. Presently, Country Delight serves 3500,000 families across several cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Tamil Nadu, and Bengaluru.  They have tied up with over 1000 farmers in India.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic-driven consumer health awareness, natural and fresh food demand has gained momentum. However, India's fresh food essentials space still remains fragmented and unreliable. The problem of adulteration in milk and other food items is enormous in India. The recent survey by the Local Circles reveals 2 in 3 households surveyed believe the milk they are consuming is not pure, center staged milk adulteration and highlights a rise in consumer awareness. Country Delight a full stack business model ensures fresh deliveries of dairy products, fruits & vegetables, bread, healthy shakes, and eggs within 24-36 hours at consumers' doorstep.
