EatRight reflects a core insight: healthier eating doesn’t have to mean strict diets, rigid rules, or giving up the food that people love. This is the reason why EatRight is not a diet-led or fitness-only proposition but a food-first, everyday solution for users who want to eat better without changing what they order. Whether a user is looking to increase protein intake, reduce calories, or avoid added sugar, EatRight has options aligned to individual goals and moments without compromising on taste or familiarity. Users can choose from high protein versions of familiar food items like biryanis, tikkas, rolls, bowls etc., low calorie variants of everyday favourites like soups, salads, sandwiches, khichdi etc., and treats with no added sugar for guilt-free indulgence including ice creams, beverages etc.

Commenting on the launch of the category, Deepak Maloo, Vice President – Food Strategy, Customer Experience & New Initiatives, Swiggy, said, “EatRight marks an important step in how we’re reimagining discovery of a better-for-you selection on Swiggy. As consumer expectations evolve, the opportunity not only lies in offering a wider assortment to choose from, but also in ensuring a seamless experience, at scale. With EatRight, we are offering food options that blend seamlessly into a user’s regular ordering habits, removes decision fatigue through clear categorisation and integrates healthier choices naturally into everyday food ordering. By combining choice, convenience, and consistency, Swiggy aims to make mindful eating less of a one-time resolution and more of a sustainable, everyday habit for millions of users across the country.”

On the sidelines of the launch, Swiggy also unveiled interesting trends observed in the healthy food ordering on the Swiggy app. Friday is the biggest day for healthy ordering: customers love 'banking' their protein early so they can enjoy the weekend guilt-free. Health-conscious eating is no longer an urban trend- Tier-2 cities witnessed 2X growth YoY compared to Metros, with Chandigarh, Guwahati, Ludhiana and Bhubaneshwar leading the way. Users prefer to start and end their day light, with No Added Sugar offerings most ordered during Breakfast (bowls, beverages) and Late Night (Ice-creams). Tofu and Soya are emerging ingredients in the category, recording 5X and 2X growth respectively, relative to other dishes. Healthy smoothies are a big trend and have grown by 60% in 2025 vs 2024. Sandwiches and Parathas are the most popular EatRight dishes consumed during breakfast, while Salads and Kebabs are the largest during Snacks time. Tikkas & Kebabs are among the most popular High Protein dishes – and have grown by 25%+ over the past year.

Swiggy’s partner brands are also creating new SKUs in line with the increased consumer focus on health-conscious eating. These include offerings such as High Protein Multigrain Pizza, High Protein Biryani with protein-dense ingredients, Protein Plus Burgers, and No added sugar, high protein coffees. Brands are now going a step further and rolling out a host of offers to make the EatRight food options more affordable. Currently, there are exclusive offers on food options from 30+ brands on Swiggy, including prominent names like Subway and EatFit.
