Mumbai, November 18, 2019: Ginger is delighted to announce the signing of a new hotel in the holy city of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
Deepika Rao, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Ginger said, “We are happy to announce the signing of Ginger Varanasi in partnership with Mr. Deepak Khanna. This hotel will follow the reimagined Ginger’s new ‘lean luxe’ design philosophy.”
The hotel is centrally located near the railway station. It will have 65 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a meeting room and a fitness centre. The hotel is a fully fitted lease and is slated to commence operations in 2022.
Located on the banks of Ganga, Varanasi has been a cultural centre of northern India for several thousand years. It is one of the holiest cities in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. Buddha is believed to have founded Buddhism here around 528 BCE. The city is also famous for muslin, silk fabrics, perfumes, ivory works and sculptures.
