Goa’s popular fish market undergoes sea-change with renovation.

Goa, 28 January 2019: Seafood being one of the key contributors to the popular tourist destination in Goa’s economy, South Goa Planning and Development Authority (SGPDA) has recently renovated the popular fish market of Goa. Newly renovated SGPDA market complex at Margao was inaugurated by Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardessai.

The architecture of the fish market has been planned after Minister Vijai Sardesai visited one of the fish markets in Dubai. Mr.Vijai Sardesai said, “I was inspired with the system followed in Dubai’s fish market and thought of implementing the same in Goa. The system has improvised the Dubai market and made it much better.”
