Grand Trunk Road Food Festival: The Fern, Goregaon's Road Trip of Taste from Bengal to Kabul

Set off on a culinary journey along Asia's historic highways, from the vibrant streets of West Bengal to the heart of Kabul, with captivating stopovers in Amritsar, Delhi, and Awadh. This June, The Fern, Goregaon, brings this storied route to life with the extraordinary Grand Trunk Road Food Festival at its all-day dining outlet, Fleur. From June 14th to 23rd, 2024, guests will be transported on a sensory journey, indulging in a meticulously curated menu that showcases the diverse and rich culinary heritage of this ancient highway.

Each region along this ancient route offers a distinct yet harmoniously connected gastronomic experience. The journey begins with the rich, spicy curries of West Bengal, moving to the robust and flavourful kebabs of Amritsar. It continues with the royal and decadent dishes of Awadh and the aromatic and diverse spreads of Delhi, culminating in the exotic flavours of Kabul. Here, food becomes a universal language, weaving a narrative that transcends borders and cultures.

The festival's meticulously crafted menu will feature exciting live counters for kebabs and a thematic buffet will feature tantalizing dishes such as Malai Chingri, Punjabi Fish Curry, Lahori Mutton, Dili style butter chicken & Lucknowi Awadhi biryanis. The culinary journey culminates with irresistible desserts, including Malida, Jalebi Rabdi, Afghani Phirni, and langcha. Each dish is a tribute to the flavors and aromas found along the storied route from Bengal's spice-laden fare to the hearty cuisine of Kabul.
