Gustoso, Kemp’s Corner Now Delivering Via Scootsy

Are you binging your way through social distancing with Netflix but miss ordering in your favourite foods? If it’s Italian food that you’re craving, Gustoso has you covered! The Kemp’s Corner outlet has begun deliveries via Scootsy once again, which will allow Gustoso regulars to get their fix at home, while safely staying indoors. 

Those in and around the Kemp’s Corner area can order from an exhaustive delivery menu that includes a number of Gustoso’s signature dishes. If you are in the mood to nibble on something small, take your pick from the Anti-Pasti such as Suppli, traditional Roman street food of Italian Arborio rice croquettes filled with mozzarella, served with arrabbiata sauce; the Involtini Di Polli, sliced rolled chicken, stuffed with spinach, mushrooms, parmesan and mozzarella in a white wine butter sauce; or simply elevate your craving for fries with the decadent Patatine Al Tartufo, French fries powdered with parmesan and truffle oil. In the mood for some hearty soup? Choose from Zuppa Di Cipolle Con Tortellini Di Parmigiano, roasted onion soup garnished with sprigs of saffron, parmesan tortellini and brown butter; or the Zuppa Di Porcini, thick porcini mushroom soup with onions, leek, garlic, thyme and a hint of Italian truffle oil, from the Zuppa section of the menu.

Nothing quite completes an Italian meal like a medley of pizza, pasta and some salad on the table. From the Pasta section, the Penne Con Polpette Di Pollo, penne and chicken meatballs tossed in rich tomato sauce with rosemary seasoning; or the classic Lasagne All Bolognese, homemade lasagne in lamb ragu, are must-haves. Vegetarians can tuck into the creamy Canneloni Gratinati, homemade cannelloni filled with ricotta and spinach in a tomato and béchamel sauce; or give the Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina, homemade gnocchi with San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella and parmesan, a try. For a light Insalata lunch do try their Insalata Di Cavolo E Quinoa, kale and quinoa salad with roasted almonds, bell peppers, avocado tossed in a honey-lemon vinaigrette; the famous Mozzarella Caprese, vine-ripened tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, drizzled with basil-infused olive oil, topped with fresh basil; or the hearty Insalata Di Rapa Rossa, roasted beetroot salad with arugula, walnuts, onions, goat cheese in a sherry vinaigrette, that is sure to please vegetarians and meat-lovers alike.

Gustoso’s Pizza menu available for delivery has a pizza for everyone, available in a choice of soft, airy Napoletana Crust or the crispy Alla Romana Crust! Pick from the classic olive oil drizzled Margherita studded with mozzarella, fresh basil, and parmesan; or the Diavola, spicy Napoli salami, jalapenos and mozzarella with San Marzano tomato sauce, if you can handle some heat. Other options include the Prosciutto di Parma, served with Parma ham, mozzarella, arugula, parmesan and San Marzano tomato sauce; or the Quattro Formaggi pizza from the Pizze Bianche menu, named after the delicious combination of four Italian cheeses – mozzarella, gorgonzola, scamorza and parmesan.

The Zafferano, traditional Milanese style saffron risotto from the Risotti menu; or the Parmigiana Di Melanzane, baked sliced eggplant layered with tomato sauce, parmesan, mozzarella and basil; as well as the Salmone Alla Mugnaia, pan-seared Norwegian salmon served with sautéed escarole and a sauce of onions, capers and lemon; under the Secondi section make for a great way to complete your Italian meal at home. 

To end your meal on a sweet note, patrons can order dishes from the Dolci menu like Tiramisu, classic Italian coffee and mascarpone cream dessert with Italian Savoiardi biscuits and cocoa; or the Panna Cotta, traditional Italian cream pudding with fresh vanilla pods, topped with amaretti crumble.

A new offering, available only on Gustoso’s new delivery menu is a selection of their house-made special sauces, which are especially great if you want to add some restaurant quality flair to your latest kitchen experiment. These ready-to-consume bottled sauces include Pesto, basil, pine nuts, garlic, parmesan, pecorino and olive oil; Arrabbiata, Pomodoro sauce, garlic, red chilli, parsley and olive oil; and Pomodoro, San Marzano tomatoes, onions, carrot, celery, basil and olive oil. Gustoso is also offering for delivery Herbal Chado Tea, available in a pack of 4 teabags.
