The Hong Kong Airport is reopened on Wednesday i.e. August 14 after facing fierce clashes overnight, but the turmoil may be far from over following reports that aviation authorities have obtained a court order to remove protestors from the terminal, setting up a possible showdown with demonstrators later in the day. After the late-night protest that left several people injured and most of the protestors and police eventually cleared the terminal and as of early Wednesday, the operations at the airport was back to normal but the few protestors were still remained at the airport early on Wednesday, to protest. The authority of Hong Kong Airport has confirmed on Wednesday it had obtained an interim injunction to restrain people from “unlawfully and willfully obstructing” operations. The two days of mass demonstrations on Monday i.e. August 12 and Tuesday i.e. August 13 had caused mass flight cancellations and also triggered fierce clashes between demonstrators and police. |
