The Indian Association of Amusement Parks and Industries (IAAPI) delegation, led by Mr. VGP Ravidas, Past President & Chairman of International Relations, recently completed a highly successful outbound visit to Beijing, China. The delegation, comprising 16 members from 10 member companies, explored key attractions and participated in various activities to further their knowledge of the amusement and rides industry.

The highlight of the trip was the visit to the CAAPA Exhibition, the largest amusement rides expo in China, showcasing over 400 companies from across China. This exhibition provided invaluable insights into the latest innovations and trends in the amusement industry, offering IAAPI members an opportunity to network and explore cutting-edge technologies.

The IAAPI delegation was also given the rare opportunity to tour the manufacturing facilities of leading ride manufacturers, including SBL, WM International, H&S Amusement Equipment, and Tenhon Rides. These visits allowed members to observe first hand the intricate processes involved in designing, producing, and dispatching amusement rides. The delegates gained a deeper understanding of the scale and technological advancements of these global manufacturing operations.

Additionally, the delegation had the chance to experience two of China’s premier amusement parks: Universal Studios Beijing and Happy Valley Amusement Park. Universal Studios offered a world-class amusement experience with state-of-the-art attractions, while Happy Valley, a state-owned park in Beijing, provided a glimpse into the local amusement industry.

The IAAPI delegation also took time to visit one of China’s most iconic landmarks, the Great Wall of China, allowing them to appreciate the rich cultural heritage of the country.

Overall, the trip was an enriching experience for all participants. The combination of industry exposure through the exhibition, factory tours, and park visits, along with the cultural experience, provided the delegation members with a holistic view of the global amusement landscape.
