Goa, August 2025 — JW Marriott Goa invites guests on a multisensory voyage through East Asia as Heliconia welcomes Chef Golpin Sianipar of Mayouchi, Westin Mumbai, for an exclusive one-day pop-up that blends tradition, innovation and aesthetic flair. Set to take place on 29th August and 30th August for dinner, followed by a special showcase at the Bubbalicious Sunday Brunch at JW Kitchen on 31st August, the experience is a tribute to the timeless harmony of Chinese and Japanese cuisines, reimagined through Chef Golpin’s contemporary lens.

Renowned for his flavour-forward approach, Chef Golpin Sianipar crafts each dish as a narrative, rooted in age-old Asian traditions, yet layered with global inspiration and modern technique. At Mayouchi, he is known for orchestrating experiences that move from the sizzle of the wok to the serenity of a perfectly plated course, celebrating balance, beauty, and boldness in equal measure.

At Heliconia, Chef Golpin presents a multi-course culinary journey that captures the soul of Mayouchi: a refined fusion of Chinese and Japanese sensibilities expressed through seasonal produce, meticulous technique, and dramatic presentation.

The tasting menu begins with refined starters such as Fish bone with yuzu jelly, salmon, and avocado, or a light vegetarian option of yuzu jelly, avocado, and compressed fruits. This is followed by the fresh and citrus-forward Spinach Goma Salad, dressed in sesame and complemented by dragon fruit, orange, blueberry, and sweet potato.

Guests may then choose between delicate dumplings—Chicken Gyoza with Rocoto sauce and chuka wakame or the vegetarian Kinoko Gyoza with Rocoto sauce—alongside sushi signatures such as the Salmon Mentai Roll with spicy mayo and black tobiko, or the Kakiage Crunchy roll with Goma sauce and sesame seeds.

Main courses showcase Chef Golpin’s signature touch with the Miso Black Cod Fish with asparagus and miso glaze, or the vegetarian Tofu Katsu, a crisp Japanese silken tofu served with unagi sauce and Sesame-marinated rice paired with the Mango Tajin Margarita, balancing citrus notes and tropical fruit on a Lillet Blanc backdrop.

To close, dessert is a classic yet contemporary creation, the Yuzu Cheesecake is a creamy, citrus-infused cheesecake layered on graham cracker crust and finished with a glossy yuzu glaze.

The next day, Mayouchi’s signature dishes will also feature at the Bubbalicious Brunch at JW Kitchen, bringing Chef Golpin’s East Asian philosophy into a vibrant buffet format. Expect handcrafted sushi, interactive dim sum stations, and signature dishes, all delivered with a sense of storytelling and precision. Guests will have the opportunity to engage with Chef Golpin throughout the weekend as he shares insights into the art of fusion, balance, and mindful cooking.
