March 2025, Gurgaon – The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi, presents A Taste of Burma, an exclusive three-day pop-up at Story Club & Lounge, running from 21st to 23rd March 2025. Curated by SOPO Goa, a celebrated name in Burmese cuisine, this immersive dining experience brings to life the rich and soulful flavors of Myanmar, reimagined with a modern touch. Known for its deep-rooted authenticity and bold flavors, SOPO Goa, helmed by Chef Yong Khum, crafts an exquisite set menu that transports diners through Myanmar’s diverse culinary landscape.

The journey begins with fresh and vibrant starters, including the Pickled Tea Leaf Thoke, a traditional Burmese salad of pickled tea leaves, assorted nuts, tomatoes, garlic, and chili. The comforting Meatball Soup, infused with lemongrass, kaffir lime, and coconut cream, warms the palate, while the Shan Tofu, house-made chickpea tofu coated in panko and served with soy and tamarind dressing, offers a delightful crunch. Kachin Aubergine, a smoky grilled eggplant dish with soy-sesame dressing, showcases the balance of umami and freshness.

For mains, diners can savor the Grilled Asian Seabass, perfectly seared and infused with deep flavors, or indulge in the crispy A-Kway Chicken, coated in panko crumbs and paired with a chili soy sauce. The menu also features hearty Burmese Curries and the beloved Ohn-no-Khowsuey, a comforting coconut-based noodle dish brimming with heritage and tradition.

Complementing the feast, SOPO Goa’s signature craft cocktails add an element of intrigue and innovation. Featuring creations like Now You See Me, One for the Room, and Better Call Sid, these carefully curated beverages are designed to enhance the bold and layered flavors of the meal.

Priced at INR 6500++ per person for the alcoholic set cocktail menu and INR 4500++ for the non-alcoholic menu, this exclusive pop-up at Story Club & Lounge offers diners an opportunity to explore the depth and vibrancy of Burmese cuisine in a contemporary setting.
