National, 9 September 2025: Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, introduced the ‘Lock Your Fare’ feature, allowing customers to reserve a chosen fare for a certain holding period and confirm their booking later. The feature is intended to cater to the discerning modern-day traveller by offering enhanced assurance, flexibility and peace of mind to plan their travel. Customers can avail the service exclusively through the Akasa Air website (www.akasaair.com) and the mobile app at a nominal fee.
For domestic flights, the feature is applicable till 7 days before the departure date, and the fare can be held for up to 15 days. In international sectors, the feature is applicable till 15 days before the departure date, and the fare can be locked for up to 7 days.
With ‘Lock Your Fare, customers are protected from fare hikes, ensuring that they can secure the best pricing available with the convenience of completing their purchase at their own pace. Whether planning a family vacation, business trip, or group travel, this feature enables smarter decision-making without the stress of immediate payment.
