This January, Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Centre invites Bengaluru to experience the soulful flavours of the Valley with Taste of Paradise Kashmir, a curated Kashmiri food pop-up at its all-day dining restaurant, Feast.
Rooted in tradition and crafted with reverence, the pop-up celebrates the spirit of Kashmir through a vibrant spread of authentic flavours, festive aromas, and time-honoured culinary techniques. Curated by Chef Abdul Hameed War, a revered custodian of Kashmiri Wazwan traditions, the menu draws inspiration from age-old recipes passed down through generations.
The spread brings together slow-cooked classics, delicately spiced gravies, and comforting preparations that reflect the depth and elegance of Kashmiri cuisine. Signature dishes that showcase the region’s mastery, like a tender and flavourful Gushtaba, a warm dish with mutton meatballs in a yogurt gravy, a slow cooked Tabak Maaz featuring succulent lamb ribs, and ending on a sweet note with a Kong Phirin, a classic kashmiri dessert.
Designed as a warm, immersive dining experience, Taste of Paradise Kashmir unfolds across both lunch and dinner to savour and appreciate culinary finesse brought to Bangalore from Kashmir’s heritage and history, through subtle spices, rich textures, and refined cooking styles.
