An adults-only retreat nestled in the heart of Chianti Classico, The Club House offers a unique experience where autumn reveals the rhythm of life and paints the vineyards in warm hues. Inaugurated in 2022 following a meticulous restoration, the hotel maintains a continuos dialogue with the surrounding landscape through its architecture, cuisine, and wellness philosophy.
Castelnuovo Berardenga (SI), October 20th, 2025 - Autumn in Chianti Classico is a season that invites one to slow down. The light turns golden, sunsets tint the hills with shades of red, the air grows crisper, and time flows more gently, like footsteps among vineyard rows changing color. In this setting stands The Club House 5*L, a property designed for an adults-only (+14) and inaugurated in spring 2022 after a careful restoration. A former Tuscan farmhouse turned into an exclusive retreat, it lives in constant harmony with the landscape, traditions, and flavors that surround it.
THE CLUB HOUSE: TUSCAN HERITAGE WITH A CONTEMPORARY EDGE
Born from the vision of the Bolfo family, The Club House embodies their ongoing commitment to enhancing this corner of Chianti Classico. The project, designed by architect Margherita Gozzi, preserved the soul of the original farmhouse by maintaining authentic materials such as stone, terracotta, and wooden beams, harmoniously integrated with nature. From its privileged position, the property overlooks vineyards and olive groves, offering a 360° view that glows with ochre, copper, and red hues in autumn. Within this context take shape the hotel’s 15 rooms: three master suites (Lapina, Boscobruno, Migliorè) and twelve superior rooms, each with its own identity. Terracotta floors, exposed beams, and large windows opening overlooking the Chianti Classico vineyards create warm and refined spaces that reinterpret Tuscan tradition in a contemporary key. From the Superior Bellavista to the Lapina Suite, every room tells a story of harmony between history and modernity.
WHERE FLAVOR MEETS WELLNESS
The essence of The Club House unfolds through an experience that weaves together cuisine, wellness, and experiences tied to the land. The kitchen is led by Daniele Canella, executive chef of the two restaurants under the Fontanelle Estate brand. Il Visibilio, a fine dining restaurant with only 12 seats and one Michelin star, offers a blind tasting menu celebrating seasonality and inviting guests on a sensory journey guided by aromas and emotions. Next to this intimate experience, Osteria Il Tuscanico is represents the resort’s convivial heart. Its new autumn menu, designed to highlight seasonal products, tells the story of the most authentic Tuscany through dishes that balance simplicity and sophistication. Among the highlights, pappardelle with wild boar, duck breast in dolce forte sauce, and borlotti bean cream with ditalini pasta recall the flavors and atmospheres of Tuscan farmhouses, reinterpreted with balance and contemporary sensibility. As the air grows cooler, guests find refuge in The Wellness Sanctuary, a 400-square-meter haven of tranquility featuring a sauna, tepidarium, Turkish bath, pools, yoga studio, and personalized treatments. Flooded with natural light and open to the landscape, the spa preserves a seamless connection with the Chianti Classico countryside.
A SEASON THAT ENDS ON A POSITIVE NOTE AND NEW PROJECTS FOR 2026 Autumn marks the rhythm of The Club House hotel, which will close for the season on November 23, while Hotel Le Fontanelle 5*, the other property under the Fontanelle Estate brand, ends its season on October 31. «The seasonal closure represents a precious moment of reflection and preparation for us» explains Phoebe Farolfi, General Manager of the Fontanelle Estate brand. «After a year filled with satisfaction and guests from all over the world, we take the necessary time to recharge, introduce new ideas, and refine every detail ahead of reopening in spring 2026. We’ve received many positive feedbacks, confirming the quality of our work and the growing appreciation for our philosophy of hospitality. Looking ahead to the next season, we expect a significant increase in visitors. For this reason, we are working on new measures to make the experience even more comfortable, exclusive, and in tune with the territory. Exciting projects include the expansion of Villa Il Mandorlo and new immersive activities dedicated to discovering Chianti Classico. Our connection to the land remains central, expressed through the promotion of local products, collaborations with artisans, and the celebration of Tuscan traditions, all of which make every stay both authentic and memorable» concludes Phoebe Farolfi.
