Berlin Artist-Chef Caique Tizzi Brings ‘The Art of Harvesting the Sun’ to JW Marriott New Delhi for its 12th Anniversary

On October 24th, JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity marked its twelfth anniversary with a multi-sensory dining experience conceptualised by Berlin-based chef and multidisciplinary artist Caique Tizzi.

Titled The Art of Harvesting the Sun, the evening reimagined the act of dining as a study in light, agriculture, and transformation through a multi-course menu and immersive installation.

Known across Europe and Asia for his experimental dinners that merge design, storytelling, and culinary craft, Tizzi brings his signature sensorial approach to India. The evening began with a live edible installation – sculptural arrangements of fresh produce, ice, and light – offering a visual and tactile prelude to the meal. Each course translated sunlight and elemental energy into flavour and texture, reflecting warmth, transformation, and renewal.

Highlights included tuna crudo with passion fruit, scallop with corn and chipotle, prawn with pineapple and kimchi, sweet potato with peanut chili and lime, and lamb with apricot and almond, culminating in two sculptural desserts: a sun-inspired installation and a hybrid composition of chiffon cake, dulce de leche, coconut miso, fruit leather, and lime granita, anchored by luminous ice sculptures symbolising the sun’s energy.
