Experience the fleeting beauty of Japan’s cherry blossom season at the Sakura Food Festival at Izu. This exclusive culinary showcase captures the delicate flavors and aesthetics of spring, with each dish thoughtfully paired with premium labels of Sake.
Curated by Chef Noel Adrias, a celebrated culinary expert with a deep appreciation for Japanese cuisine, the menu highlights authentic flavors while incorporating the finest seasonal ingredients. With years of experience mastering the balance of tradition and innovation, Chef Noel brings an artistic approach to his dishes, ensuring each bite is a reflection of Japanese craftsmanship.
The journey begins with Sakura Tartare, a refreshing blend of avocado and pomegranate, paired with the crisp Izu Sarai sake. The Nikkei course offers a choice between the vibrant Rainbow Assorted Seafood Carpaccio or the plant-based Avocado Carpaccio with Sakura Salad, beautifully complemented by the citrusy Nanbu Bijin Yuzu Lemon Sake.
The Makizushi selection brings a balance of tradition and creativity, featuring the Forbidden Silky Chutoro Makizushi and the striking Dianthus Pink Flower Avocado with Beetroot. Each bite evokes the harmony of nature and culinary craftsmanship.
For the Robata course, diners can choose between the smoky Kaiso Suzuki or Asparagus, perfectly grilled and paired with Blueberry Umeshu Sake—a combination reminiscent of cherry blossoms gently falling in the breeze.
To end on a sweet note, Izu’s signature Mochi Ice Cream is served alongside a seasonal fruit medley, embodying the essence of renewal and celebration.
This limited-time menu is a tribute to the art of Japanese cuisine, blending time-honored techniques with the elegance of the season—making each dish as ephemeral and exquisite as the cherry blossoms themselves.
