Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield presents a limited-period pop-up led by Chef Tariq Ahmed, bringing to the city the culinary traditions of Kashmir through a cuisine shaped by ritual, patience and legacy. The experience begins with Kahwa at the table and envelopes you with the culture through themed décor, specialty counter at the buffet and a Kashmiri flea market.
A respected custodian of Kashmiri culinary traditions, Chef Tariq Ahmed has dedicated nearly three decades to preserving this revered culinary art. Having learnt the craft from his father, he began cooking for traditional Kashmiri wedding feasts before being invited to lead Kashmiri food festivals at five-star hotels across the country. Deeply committed to authenticity, he travels with his own spice blends, select pastes and specialty ingredients sourced from Kashmir, ensuring each preparation remains faithful to its roots.
The menu draws from Kashmir’s classical culinary repertoire. Vegetarian offerings include Paneer Kanti with Kashmiri chilli and spices, Nadru Malai Tikki, Bateh Hakh with slow-cooked greens, Nadru Yakhni, Tamatar Chaman and Kashmiri Kesari Pulao. Non-vegetarian highlights feature Tabak Maas, Chicken Kanti, and signature dishes such as Gushtaba, Rista, Waza Chicken and Mutton Yakhni Pulao.
Guided by a tradition that precedes the dishes themselves, the pop-up offers an authentic expression of Kashmiri cuisine, thoughtfully presented at M Café, Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield.
