October 2024 is an auspicious month for Bengalis, as it marks not only their grandest cultural and religious festival, Durga Puja, but also Kali Puja and Bhai Phota.
At Sheraton Grand Bund Garden Pune, we’re celebrating this sacred month by showcasing authentic Bengali dishes rarely featured in restaurants or festive spreads. To bring this experience to life, we’ve invited Chef Shakti and Lokesh all the way from Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata
This festival will honor traditional Bengali staples like various Saags paired with Bori (fried lentil drops), Biuli (Urad) dal favored by East Bengalis, Mochar Ghonto (a dry dish made with banana flower), classic fish soup, fish egg fritters, Murg Shorba with pumpkin, and poppy seed and coconut fritters. Of course, we’re also featuring popular dishes like Chingri Malakari, Kosha Mangsho, Chicken Rezala, Basanti Pulao, Sorshe Maach, and more.
Each lunch and dinner will present 20+ dishes, with a rotating menu to offer fresh selections at every meal. No Bengali feast is complete without sweets, so each day will include desserts like Mango Sandesh, Malpua, Langcha, Kalakand, Payesh, Rosogolla, and Mishti Doi, among others.
Join us for this special Bengali food festival as we pay tribute to the rich and diverse flavors of Bengali cuisine.
