Centara Bucks Global Trend with Double-Digit Revenue Growth
In 2025, Centara celebrated the full opening of The Atollia by Centara Hotels & Resorts, the spectacular new multi-island, multi-brand destination in the Maldives – including the launch of Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives. This was a key driver of a 10% jump in Centara’s full-year revenue, which surged to THB 12,318 million (approx. USD 380 million). Company-wide revenue per available room (RevPAR) rose 5% year-on-year, driven by a 4% increase in average room rate (ARR) to THB 5,922. The annual profit from the group’s hotel business declined slightly, due to expenses resulting from new developments and the completion of a 50-key villa zone at Centara Karon Villas Phuket.
For 2026, Centara is now setting its sights even higher, with the target of a 14-15% surge in revenue, driven by the recovery of tourism in Thailand, portfolio expansion and the renovation and rebranding of its popular hotels and resorts. Two properties will be transformed in 2026: Centara Grand Beach Resort Hua Hin and Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi, which will re-emerge as Centara Reserve Krabi – the world’s second Centara Reserve – by the end of the year. These actions are expected to boost the group’s full-year RevPAR to THB 4,600-4,800, up from THB 4,281 in 2025.
A Year of Growth Starts with Entry Into Nepal
Centara is on track to open five new hotels and resorts in 2026, as it extends its family-centric hospitality to alluring new destinations across Asia. This exciting new era of growth has already started with the launch of the 42-key Himalayan Hideaway Resort Pokhara, The Centara Collection in January, marking the group’s debut in Nepal. In Q2 2026, the 300-key Centara Life Namba Hotel Osaka will become its second hotel in Japan, and the joint opening of the 481-key Centara Hotel & Residences Van Don and 496-key Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don will boost the group’s inventory in Vietnam by almost 1,000 rooms. In Thailand, the 110-key Centara Life Hotel Surat Thani is set to debut in the second half of the year.
Roadshows to Drive Sales & Marketing Push in 2026
Centara’s sales & marketing team will be highly active again this year, reaffirming its long-term relations with the world’s travel trade and promoting the group’s newly-opened properties. The launch of Centara Life Namba Hotel Osaka will create new opportunities in South Korea, Japan and the USA, complementing the core markets of Thailand, Europe, Asia, Russia and the Middle East. Roadshows in 18 countries and strategic partnerships will underpin the company’s marketing strategy. In terms of branding, the new Centara Grand Experience will be rolled out worldwide, and Centara Reserve will be enhanced to prioritise exclusivity and build greater brand affinity.
Smart Tech Empowers Hyper-Personalisation and AI Integration
Smart technology continues to drive Centara’s global success, enabling operational efficiency and enhancing every aspect of the guest experience. Central to this strategy is the Centara Data Warehouse, which has been established to support advanced analytics and enable hyper-personalisation. A new customised booking engine has been designed for scalability, seamless connectivity and future AI integration, and the new Centara App has already received 100,000 downloads since it was launched in December 2025.
Sustainability Drives Long-Term Success, En Route to Net Zero
Sustainability is woven throughout Centara’s business, with the overall goal of net zero emissions by 2050. Significant milestones were reached in 2025, as the company reduced its energy use by 26%, water consumption by 33%, waste-to-landfill by 23% and overall emissions by 24%. Solar panels were installed at 18 properties, allowing Centara to generate 3.3 times more solar power than the previous year. It also became the first hotel group in Thailand to achieve full Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) certification across its entire portfolio. In terms of responsible business, collaborations with 66 educational institutions resulted in 3,192 student internships, and employment opportunities continue to be provided for senior citizens and people with disabilities, well above the legal requirement.
Prestigious Awards Recognise Business Excellence
Centara’s strong corporate governance was recognised with a series of awards, including Investment Analyst Association (IAA) honours for the “Outstanding CEO,” “Best CFO” and “Outstanding Investor Relations,” and two titles in the Future Trends Awards 2025: “Most Future Brand” for Centara Hotels & Resorts and “Leader of the Leader” award for CEO Thirayuth Chirathivat. The group’s sustainability commitment was recognised by the Thailand Tourism Sustainability Award from the TAT, the Good Sustaining Partner Award from SOS Thailand, and a AAA rating in the SET ESG Ratings 2025. The company was also included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026 for the third consecutive year.
Thirayuth Chirathivat, Chief Executive Officer of Centara Hotels & Resorts, said: "2025 was a highly productive year for Centara, despite ongoing headwinds across the global travel and hospitality sector. As our international portfolio expands and more travellers experience our distinctive, family‑centric style of hospitality, we remain firmly on track to achieve our long‑term growth ambitions. In the year ahead, we look forward to creating even more exceptional experiences for our guests as we continue progressing toward our goal of becoming a top 100 global hotel group by 2027.”
