The Autumn Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is one of the most cherished Asian traditions, celebrating harvest and the beauty of the full moon. At Taj Coromandel, Chennai, this timeless celebration comes alive from October 1 – 15, 2025 at Golden Dragon, the city’s legendary Sichuan & Cantonese cuisine restaurant.

To mark this festive occasion, Golden Dragon presents an exquisite menu inspired by the spirit of the Autumn Moon. Guests can begin their journey with delicate dim sums from the steamer, including Shrimp and Chicken Combination Shaomai, Northern Lamb Dumplings and Broccoli and Cream Cheese Dumplings. Vegetarian favourites like Mushroom Spinach and Corn Dim Sum and soft Mantao Buns with chilli garlic dip promise indulgence with every bite.

The wok section is a celebration of bold flavours and textures, featuring dishes such as wok-smoked Braised Duck with bamboo shoot; Stir-fried Scallops with crushed garlic and chilli; Boiled Pork Belly with pokchoy and sliced ginger; and the fiery La Chu Chicken. Vegetarians can enjoy Lotus Stem - Family Style, lotus stem stir-fried with Shao Xing Wine; Yangchow Tofu, or tender Asian Greens tossed with superior soy. Staples such as fragrant Guang Dong Fried Rice and Zha Zha Mein noodles in vegetarian, chicken or seafood options bring comfort and balance to the festive spread.

No celebration of the Autumn Moon would be complete without dessert, and Golden Dragon presents the season’s most symbolic indulgence - the classic Moon Cake filled with red bean paste, baked in-house. For those seeking variety, the menu also offers a warm Star Anise-infused Chocolate Pudding and a refreshing Caramelized Walnut and Orange Ice Cream.
