Hyderabad, July 11, 2025 – Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel's signature restaurant Feast announces an exclusive five-day culinary celebration showcasing authentic South Indian cuisine. "The Southern Table," running July 16-20, will bring together traditional family recipes and forgotten regional dishes from Karnataka and coastal South India.

The pop-up will transform Feast into a celebration of South Indian culinary heritage, featuring dishes prepared using time-honoured techniques and heirloom ingredients. Chef Spoorthi TN of Bangalore has curated a menu that highlights ancestral recipes passed down through generations, many of which are rarely found in contemporary dining.

"This experience focuses on preserving and presenting lost recipes that have been carefully maintained within select families for generations," says Chef Spoorthi TN. "We're bringing these authentic flavors to guests with refined presentation while maintaining their traditional essence."

"We're delighted to partner with Chef Spoorthi TN to bring this unique culinary journey to our guests," says Satya Kumar, Executive Chef at Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel. "The Southern Table represents our commitment to celebrating regional culinary heritage while offering exceptional dining experiences that connect our guests with authentic local flavors."

The buffet menu spans the diverse culinary landscape of South India, featuring standout dishes such as:

· Junka – a humble and flavourful gram flour preparation from North Karnataka

· Paputtu – a soft, steamed rice cake from Coorg

· Jackfruit Paje Madikela – a rich jackfruit curry from Mangalore

· Ottu Shavige with Nati Koli Saru – homemade string hoppers served with country chicken curry, a Mysore delicacy

From coastal curries and fragrant rice preparations to traditional desserts, each dish will reflect a deep connection to regional culture and family traditions—prepared using authentic methods and presented with a contemporary touch.

Guests are encouraged to reserve in advance to experience this rare opportunity to savour forgotten South Indian culinary gems.
